Ahoy squids,
We had a great day in Yankton on Saturday commemorating the USS Scorpion SS-278 crew and all submarine veterans lost at sea!

Think we had about 25 people attending including some I cannot remember their names,
hence if you were there and remember their names please send me an email so we can get them in our records.

The Yankton paper sent over a reporter, we had a Chief in summer whites, anyone know their names?

The speaker, Lt Gov Matt Michels did a great honor in saluting our WWII vets and joined us afterwards at the VFW for lunch too.

We preformed our Holland Club induction and added Jim Black, Bob Hanson and Tim Madden to the rolls at the Yankton VFW!

We donated $100 to them for the Honor Guard and serving lunch afterwards.

Overall, I think it went over great and I am very proud of our organization!
Thanks to all that were able to attend and especially those who pitched in and helped put this together!

Saturday, August 17th, Riverboat Days in Yankton parade with the RC submarine float!
Hope to have a big turnout for this parade as this event may replace our July meeting.....thoughts?
