HALIBUT Torpedo Room story by Shipmate Gerold Davey

On Halibut, the Torpedo Room LPO was old school or just a natural hard-ass.
As my inport Section Leader, he once told me to go out to the parking lot and practice falling down for an hour and he would come out and finish me off.
Anyhoo.... while performing PM's on a torpedo, he got across the battery teminals.
As he lay there twitching, a junior TM said,
"Should we call the Corpsman now or wait?"
Not realizing the LPO heard every word.

Talk about furious.
